Hong-Do Lee ist ein in Seoul lebender Dramatiker. Er ist Autor von acht abendfüllenden Theaterstücken und Performances, darunter ≪Autobiography of Hong-Do Lee (My Life in Art)≫ (58th Baeksang Arts Awards Finalist for Young Theatre Artists, 21. Daesan Literary Awards Finalist für Drama), ≪American Theater/Seoul Chorus≫, ≪2032 Angels in America≫, ≪Beckett Montage≫, und ≪Gumisik≫. Er ist u.a. Gewinner des 13. Doosan Artist Award for Performing Arts 2022, des Hankook Ilbo New Writers Contest for Drama 2020 (Korea Times) und des 14. Seoul Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) Award for the Young Critic 2018.

In der Spielzeit 2024/25 ist Hong-Do Lee im Rahmen der WELT/BÜHNE-Residenz Gast am Residenztheater.
