TEMPING
by Michael Yates Crowley
in English language
Premiere in German-speaking countries

Slots of 70 minutes can be booked for one person at a time.

Sarah Jane Tully, 53, an actuary, is finally taking her first vacation in years – and you’re stepping into her shoes. As a «temp,» you enter her daily work routine: surrounded by data entry, office rituals, and unexpected glimpses into what appears to be a typical workplace.

«Temping» is an immersive, interactive solo performance that takes you to the edge of statistics, where numbers begin to tell human stories. The person sitting across from you becomes part of the narrative, posing a quiet but powerful question: What remains when a life is reduced to spreadsheets?

The U.S.-based collective Wolf 359, founded by Michael Yates Crowley and Michael Rau, has been merging theatre and technology into singular experiences since 2007. «Temping» has toured internationally since 2015, appearing in cities such as New York and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it was repeatedly named one of the festival’s standout shows. As part of a writing residency, Michael Yates Crowley will be guest at the Residenztheater in 2026.
