Oleksandr Seredin

Oleksandr Seredin, born in 1991 in Kharkov, is a Ukrainian theater director, playwright and screenwriter. In recent years he has been in-house director at the Pushkin Theater in Kharkiv and artistic director of the first digital theater «Manufactura» in Ukraine. In 2016 and 2017 he won the annual playwright*s competition Tizhden Actual Play. In recent years, he has also written several scripts for digital projects. In 2020, he founded the theater lab Trajectory. At the invitation of the Residenztheater, he came to Munich in the fall of 2022 and, as part of his residency, attempted to record current events in Ukraine in writing.

His play «Lysistrata macht Urlaub» is premiering in the Welt/Bühne Festival in June 2024.
